We were a table of six dining on January 4, 2026, celebrating my wife’s 70th milestone birthday. I ordered the 14 oz striploin—my fourth steak over the Christmas holidays. Compared with similar steaks I recently had at Hy’s (twice) and The Keg, this one was good, but not quite at the same level. It met expectations, though it didn’t stand out as exceptional.
Service throughout the evening felt less polished than on our previous visits. While everyone was courteous, the overall experience would have benefited from a more professional and engaging approach. I would also encourage the manager to be a bit more welcoming—simple things like smiling and interacting with guests can make a big difference in the atmosphere.
This was our third visit. The first two were very good, which is why this visit stood out by comparison. For the price point ($1200 including tip), the experience really needs to be excellent across the board. My wife’s tenderloin had a few tough spots, which was disappointing. She also felt that the dining room could use a bit more warmth—perhaps candles, flowers, or table linens to enhance the ambiance.
On a positive note, the drink selection was excellent, and the appetizers were outstanding. Those elements were highlights of the evening.
I offer this feedback in the spirit of being helpful and because we’ve enjoyed your restaurant in the past. I hope it’s useful, and I wish you continued success.
