An exhilarating family bike ride in the most picturesque setting! This is a must do when visiting the Kelowna area.
Our 6 year old twins easily managed the 24 km round trip trestle trail. We brought our own bikes but rentals are available.
Benches with stunning views are plentiful along the route and there are also a couple of storm shelters and bathrooms available, too. There is also a volunteer staff member who rides back and forth along the trail in case anyone needs help (like a spare tire, for example).
Would recommend bringing snacks and water: just be aware of the overly friendly chipmunks who have obviously been fed by humans passing through. Side note: Please don’t feed the wildlife, people!
Our family had an incredible experience biking over the 18 trestles! Highly recommend. This was a highlight of our trip to the Okanagan. Our cheeks hurt from smiling so hard!
What an incredible experience. Breath taking views from a well maintained trail. Tunnels are so magnificent. We walked but I would highly recommend a bike. There is so much to see and walking takes too long. You can rent bikes right in the parking lot at the foot of the trail. Take plenty of water! It's hot in the summer! 😎
