Lochview Trail is a stunning waterfront hike that hugs the lake for most of the walk, with a few little beaches tucked along the way—perfect if you want to impress someone with scenery without feeling too touristy. Fair warning though: it's legitimately steep going down and brutal coming back up, so save this for someone who's actually fit and won't resent you halfway through the climb. Park on the side of the road (way easier than hunting for spots at Paul's Tomb), and go on a clear day when the lake views are actually insane—the payoff at the beach makes the leg-burning hike back worth it.
