Had a great winter wine tasting, with Mani guiding us through Little Straw wines. Little Straw is the third oldest winery in West Kelowna, dating back to 1996 with the vineyard all the way back to 1969. We loved the ice wine minnie bottles - great for presents, with chocolate cups of course.
Unpretentious in every way, the ratings for this winery did not disappoint. Our wine expert, Mina, was a joy to be with. Highly recommend their ice wine (so good!), and flights and bites.
We had this winery on our list to visit three weeks ago but didn't get the chance. This trip, it was our priority to go first thing, and wow, what a fantastic decision! The location is great, with beautiful views of the lake and the vineyard. The atmosphere is nice, the wine selection caters to everyone, and the staff, Jennifer and Keith, were outstanding. They were so kind, personable, knowledgeable, and truly entertaining. With my own 25+ years in the service industry, their genuine sincerity was clear. Of all the wineries and distilleries we've visited in BC, this tasting experience was a highlight. It's definitely another reason to plan a return trip to Kelowna soon. Thanks so much, and we're looking forward to seeing you again when we pick up our next wine club order instead of ordering online.
