This gym has SO MUCH POTENTIAL. The gym is starting to feel outclassed by the others in town, with seemingly little interest in competing. Investment into the gym doesn't feel like a priority The mats for boulding are thin, torn, and don't provide security for those that may fall on them, the holds are greasy, old and need serious overgripping to stay secured. The bouldering is not very beginner friendly through grades 1-3. The gym feels overall dirty and run down. The bathroom sinks have been leaking for weeks and are an easy fix, instead overflowing icecream pails flood water on the floor. The atmosphere feels cold and tired. The one thing this gym has going for it is that its the only one with real sport climbing options. Though the ropes and belay devices are so dirty and stick when operating the experience can get frustrating. They also dont reset the routes very frequently so its really only worth visiting once every 4-6 months if you're wanting variety of your indoor training and fun.
So many climbing options (that change regularly), super friendly and helpful staff, and reasonable rates. Great way to have fun and get a good workout.
